GCSE RESULTS 2020

The Year 11 cohort have worked incredibly hard this year and have been equally challenged by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is pleasing to see that the true talents of these outstanding students have been recognised through the awarding of the GCSE results this year. The diligence that they have applied to their studies over many years has been rightly rewarded.

This year’s GCSE results are one of the best sets of grades in BSB’s history, and we are incredibly proud of every one of the Year 11 students, their teachers, and their parents, all of whom have contributed to achieve such good results. There is much cause of celebration and we have seen excellent grades in a diverse range of subjects, reflecting the breath of talents within the BSB community. We now look forward to welcoming these students into the BSB Sixth Form and anticipate that they will continue to set new levels of academic excellence in the future. When they return in September they will be able to embrace the challenges and pleasures of A Level study.

The School’s GCSE results:
A*        36% of all grades
A*-A     55% of all grades
A*-B     73% of all grades

The results at both GCSE and A Level are testament to BSB’s outstanding education and pursuit of excellence, which for many pupils began in the Infant School and continued through our Junior School before they entered our highly successful Senior School. These results are a good reflection of BSB’s approach to academic rigour within a holistic and supportive environment.
