Having been shortlisted as a finalist three months ago, the British School of Bahrain proudly represented Bahrain at the awards. As the sole school in Kingdom, and one of just three selected from the Middle East and North Africa, this achievement was a significant accolade and testament to the school’s commitment to excellence and global best practice. BSB was chosen as the winner in one of the categories, further highlighting the excellence of education in Bahrain, globally.
Executive Headmaster, Mr John Maguire, attended the event on Tuesday evening. Mr Maguire commented “It was wonderful to be in shortlisted for such an award, and when I saw the names of the other schools present, I knew that the BSB community should be proud to be in such esteemed company. When they read out the British School of Bahrain name, I was delighted that all our hard work and community spirit was recognised by the judges over 3000 miles away. Well done BSB!”
This award is already the 6th award that BSB has achieved in the last year, and second this week, and places it as the most highly decorated school in Bahrain. This recognises it’s position leading education within the Kingdom.
